On 18th of October, I went to Zomato Meet up at MammaRosy. Located in Kemang, MammaRosy is one of the most talk for genuine Italian restaurant in Jakarta. All the dish serve here is using the family recipe – straight from the traditional house in Italy. Just like the name of the restaurant, the chef is Mamma Rosy itself. She handles all the delicious process in the kitchen, while help by her son and daughter running the restaurant on a daily basis.
For this meetup Mamma Rosy was very kind to introduce all the dish and drinks prepared for this event. So, let’s talk more about food!

Appetizer
Vitello Tonnato
finely sliced roast beef sirloin with tonnata sauce of tuna, fresh mayonnaise and capers
To be honest, this is my first time seeing this dish. So, of course it’s time to try it. Well, it must be good if it’s an Italian dish. So, my first reaction was, it taste just like tuna but more soggy and goey. For the roast beef, it’s not easy for me to taste it, I need to really savour it to know there’s beef in it. This is a unique dish and anyone new to this should try it.

Pasta
Tagliatelle Carbonara
Tagliatelle: Long flat fresh pasta ribbons made with egg and flour. Also known as fettuccine
Carbonara: Eggs, Bacon (Pork), Black Pepper
So, I’m always a pasta fan. The dish here – Tagliatelle Carbonara cooked al dente 🙂 it means not too soft and not too hard. It’s cooked so as to be still firm when bitten. This is what you want when it comes to pasta. The sauce is creamy yet still light.
Risotto Fontina Special
Fontina Spesial: Fontina Cheese, Champignon Mushrooms, and Black Italian Truffle
The Fontina cheese is amazing! wow!. Also, the fresh mushroom really helps making the flavor more earthy.

Gnoochi Pesto
Gnoochi: Fresh soft past made with potatoes and flour
Pesto: Fresh basil leaves, Italian grana padano, pine nuts, garlic, extra virgin olive oil
I personally think this dish is ok. Because it’s not difficult to make homemade pesto. So, I guess it does fit with the all Italian home cooking.

Spaghetti Ai Frutti Di Mare
Spaghetti: Durum wheat semolina long pasta
with fresh seafood sauce
The seafood is fresh. The serving is very generous, especially the clams and prawns. It has a sour taste but still has a hint of sweetness that comes from fresh tomatoes.

Pizza
Golosa
Mozzarella, Bacon, Chicken, Egg, Truffle and Mushroom Cream, Parmesan, Black Pepper, and Chili Oil
The pizza taste is great altough it’s a bit too oily for me. The chicken taste is very minimum as its hidden by the bacon taste. Also, the egg taste does not fully comes out. Well, egg taste can be easily overpowered by all the grand ingredients here. Overall, this pizza is quite ok for me.

Aglio Olio & Cabe
Toppings: Tomato, Mozzarella, Basil, Onion, Tuna, Garlic, Chili Olive Oil, and Potatoes
To be honest I do not try this dish because I’m not a fan of Aglio Olio (I just can’t stand it’s spicy) I hope this dish photo will make you still drooling for it 😉

Main Course
Filetto Alla Ligure
Fish fillet cooked in oven with wine, capers, cherry tomatoes, and black olives
One of my favorite this ever! The taste is light and has a perfect saltines. The black olives gives a unique taste while eating it. The cherry tomatoes gives a sour and semi sweet taste.

Main Course
Agnello Al Brandy
Tender lamb slowly roasted in oven with brandy and italian herbs
As I personally not a fan of lamb, I’m surprised the meat does not taste like lamb. The meat is juicy and tender. The italian herbs really soaked it due to the slowly roasted process. The side dish is fresh. The potatoes is my favorite of them all. Well, I love love potatoes and this one is definitely my favorite. It’s crunchy, not too salty, and fried to perfection.

Dessert
Crostata Di Mele
Traditional Apple Crumble with ice cream
The apple crumble is very sweet for my taste. Thank god there’s a hint of cinnamon taste in it. The texture of the apple crumble is crunchy. The serving is enough for 1 people. For you dessert lover I recommend you to try this.
